I purchased this 740 with 144,000 miles on it and it now has 227,000. It has been an absolutely excellent car. However, a fender bender put it in the shape it's in now and I don't have the money to fix it. Despite the extensive front end damage, the engine still runs and does not over-heat. Why it doesn't over-heat? It's a Volvo! No, in all seriousness, a mechanic could tell you what exactly needs to be replaced. If not, there are a lot of very good and new parts worth good money if someone wanted to get parts out of it.
-NO A/C, but has several new components from when I have had it fixed on more than one occasion.
-Performance rims with tires that have at least another year.
-Rest of body in great shape. (However, some peeling on roof)
-Clean interior in good shape.
-Sunroof (needs service, but does NOT leak)
-Power windows and locks in working order
-Cruise control
-Trailer hitch for pulling a canoe.
