One of the idiosyncrasies of my car are the ornamental emblems around the keyholes (off a Cadillac, maybe?) Also, the stock Corona wheels painted white by the previous owner. Kind of ghetto, I know. I almost took a bead blaster to them, but it kind of grew on me. never seen the likes of them on another volvo yet!

Another weird detail is the Turbo Diesel emblem on the trunk. It's a B23f gas engine.Who knows how the emblem got there. Note the Sweden "S" sticker. I put it there. I'm Mexican but speak fluent Swedish ( Svenxican?). Trust me, the tech data on these cars is no easier to understand in Swedish than in English.

I call her Pippi after the famed character in Swedish author Astrid Lindgren's children's stories, you know, the one with long stockings? ( there's also a "-PP-" in the plate number). I've gotten up close and personal doing the alternator, fuel filter, motor and trans. mounts, muffler and brakes. I love working on this car!

My grandaughter and I looking over my Haynes shop manual... I know its not the most complete manual, but it helps with the basics once you figure out the British jargon (14 mm spanner wrench, under the bonnet, etc.)

A little project car I bought from a mechanic who did a fairly decent job at keeping it up.
