Tell the world a little bit about your vehicle
This vehicle was purchased by my parents in 1998 from a local Honda/Ford dealer. They purchased it at Mannheim Auctions, and it was previously registered to Volvo. Perhaps a Volvo Executive drove it for awhile, I'm not sure. I noticed it on the dealer's lot and told my Father about it. It served as his daily driver for many years, until he retired, at which point it sat most of the time, serving as a spare vehicle. I'm hoping to fix it up and enjoy driving it. The odometer failed a couple years ago, around 105k. I expect it's been driven another 10k miles on top of that, but I have no way to be certain.
When they were finally ready to let it go early in 2013, I jumped at the opportunity to add it to my fleet - it's probably the most 'fun' vehicle I've ever had the opportunity to drive.
Engine/Drivetrain Modifications:
No 'mods' to date, just maintenance.
Interior/Exterior Modifications:
Euro style side markers on the fenders
Shaved factory emblems on tailgate
Replaced front and rear door speakers with Polk DXi525 speakers. Was not an easy install - speakers had to be mounted to the rear of the door panels for the dome tweeter to clear the factory speaker grilles. The sound is quite nice and I think it was a worthwhile mod.
Also installed a cabin air filter using the mount from a salvage yard S70.
Future Modifications:
Used OEM tailgate spoiler sitting in my garage, waiting on me to find a good front spoiler so I can paint them at the same time.
Replace seat covers with reproduction Elwood seat covers
