For those of us Volvo Owners, this is among the ultimate Swedish sleeper cars. 2.3 L, 5 cylinder turbocharged petrol engine produces 236 bhp at 5100 rpm with a top speed of 150 mph, stock. 0-60 mph in 6.4 seconds.
My neighbor who is also a close friend first introduced me to the world of Volvo back when I was just an 18 year old lad. I've been in love with them since, particularly his base model S70. So much so that I decided to search for miles for my own perfect precious. I found one at last in near flawless condition used with 94k miles and bought it for $6500. This however was the turbocharged T5 version, all the more special. I usually use it every other day or so for commuting, but every once in a while I take it for a nice little drive, bonding time if you will. It has driven the entire US West Coast in a legendary road trip, which it handled like a champion. The few times I've used it in racing it has performed brilliantly, though I take care not to stress the engine much. I do believe this is among the cars you must drive to be an official petrolhead! Volvo. For life.
