When it comes to a turbo bigger is beter, BUT there are limits for all turbos. A 3in turbo-back exhaust would be awsome upgrade for HPT volvos. Yes, you will lose some lowend power/troque, but the Gains at the topend will be plenty. Most people will find that a 3in downpipe to 2.5in catback will be plenty for street use.
On NA cars, they need some backpressure, but as far as Racing a car or if you like to rev out the car, then you will want straight through mufflers and slighter bigger piping.

Ok so I had my downpipe installed about 2 weeks ago and I love it on the highway but I have noticed what you are talking about with the lowend torque/ power when driving around town. Is there anything I can do to regain lowend power. Don’t get me wrong the car runs great! I just want that snap in your neck off the line.

I wouldn't worry to much about the very "secound" you leave the stop light. I know every second counts, but your gains will be great on the mid to top end power/torque, which is what the upgraded downpipe and cat-back is for. You have a BSR tune which should mess with the timing, but You can always get the QBM (http://www.quickbrickmotorsports.com/prod_camtool.html) cam timing tool.

I def see the gains in the mid to upper range. Tuning Cams and that kind of thing is a little over my skill level. I do how ever have a friend well more of an acquaintance that has been talking about “tuning” my car. He has a sick 3000GT VR4 and I know he knows his Sh*t so is this the kind of thing he is talking about?

Unless you know exactly what your doing, don't buy the cam timing tool. It is a great idea, but in the hands of someone not experienced like myself you can really screw your engine up.

Also to get the proper timing and to see the results you'd have to do it while on a dyno to get accurate numbers and that can get pricey in and of itsself.

In the end is it worth it for the few extra ponies you'll get? Yes I see they say 20-30 Hp gain in the low end there on their dyno sheet. That might not be realistic for your car also you have to take that sheet with a grain of salt as you weren't there to actually see it and know for sure that they gained it or not. Things can easily be manipulated.

I also notice their Torque gains too in the low end around 40 ft-lb's, again might not be relaistic for your car.

One thing to make sure of is, is that your car needs to be in top maintainence and performance from stock or whever you have your car now to make anything else worth the upgrade or tuning.

You could gain just as much as their figures say you can gain or you may fall short or way short of any of their gains.

Also think about if you gain something low end, what are you now loosing top end that you had before you did this upgrade. You may not loose anything, but then again you may.

I also suggest not messing with the timing unless you know what you're doing. Also, your sig says you have a stage 1 tune. You need stage 2 with the downpipe and exhaust.

I was thinking about contacting EST they are no longer working with BSR but the new company they are working with still uses the PPC module. I thought that maybe since I Had the PPC I could possibly just buy the software package.

I don't know your engine size, but according to BSR's site they have stage 2 for AWD 05-09 S40's. Might want to double check just to be sure...

Yah I'm going to I just have to get the funds worked out.
