Default 86 FUEL INJECTORS

I have a 1986 240GL with 194000 miles on it, the injectors need to be cleaned, can i take them out and clean them or should i take the car to be serviced. The car runs fine once it gets up to normal operating temperature.</P>

it is safe to remove the injectors yourself. i would contact a volvo dealer to find a good cleaner as i dont know off hand what would be good to use.

I would take it in and have it done as they need to be cleaned under pressure and the cleaner that most shops use is very caustic. Have you tried to run some techron throught the fuel system to see if it makes a difference first. I use it on a regular basis and have no starting problems.
