Default Attachng vin tag to dashboard

I have had my entire dashboard on my 2002 Volvo s40 replaced over a year ago. I have saved the vin tag from the old dashboard.

I now want to attach the vin tag to my new dashboard. I noticed two holes in the vin tag - one on either end. I guess it was originally riveted or screwed into the dash.

I am just wondering how I may install on the new dash - glue in, screw in. Anything suggested taken seriously.

Thanks in advance.

Respectfully,

Newport_j

see if you can find a "pop rivet" tool at Harbor Freight or Sears. They use a special pliers and the rivets are on a pin that pulls through to roll up the back side.

Depends on what you are after. If you are after the original look make sure you do it the same way. If you are just wanting to make sure it is secured in place then the method doesn't much matter, but if it were me I would avoid glue. Too much heat and direct sunlight hits that area and it wouldn't likely last very long.
