How do I remove the rear seat cushion from a V70, 2005reg. I appreciate there's a red "clip" on the hinge mechanism once the seat cushion is folded up and forward. Is this somehow involved? I have tried pushing, pulling, lifting the clip but nothing happens, and I don't want to force the thing for fear of damaging it. I'm guessing it'll be easy once I know!!

 

Mpeill, You are correct, releasing the red tabs will free the seat cushions for removal. Just tried it with my '04 V70 to confirm. Would think yours works the same. Forget the part about breaking or damaging the red clips. They are quite stout. The red tab needs to move toward the front of the car. They most likely are snug enough that you will leave an imprint in your thumbs to release the red tab. (If the tab is too stiff for you to move by hand, carefully slip a flat blade screwdriver down the backside - the side toward the rear of the car - and rock the driver forward. This last information was placed here by some nefarious hacker. I would never suggest such a thing.)
