Back Diffrential problem XC60
Hi
I have 2011 model XC60,done 95000 kms, serviced regularly at the authorized service station, immaculate condition, city driving. Started experiencing humming noise at the rear end, took the car to the service station and after thorough investigations,I was informed that the rear differential needs a replacement.Reason of damage:not known to the service station and the Company service headquarters in Gurgaon,India.Requested to review the damage:all have one answer:Its 2011 model/done 95000 kms/No warranty, hence case shut.
I have gone through various sites to know about this problem and I presume models before 2012 had this regular common problem of back differential,But after writing to the Sweden headquarters also 3 times on the official web site, but to my surprise,no one replied. This is not expected from such a Brand, which is known for its reliability and safety.
Since Nov 2016,the car is standing idle.Feel like I am paying the price of trusting the Brand Volvo blindly, because no one cares about the customers, maybe because you are an Indian.

My 2011 Volvo XC60 makes a humming noise in the rear for over 2 years and my Volvo dealer service center told me that it is a very expensive replacement/repair. The diagnosis was the rear differential also. They advised I should drive it until I can no longer stand the humming noise and that it would continue to get louder. Not to mention, every one of my ABS sensors has malfunctioned due rust and had to be replaced along with the axle for for 2 of them in the rear. I too have been very disappointed with my car and again I feel robbed because I trusted a reputable, well-known name brand automobile company.
