My 1998 v70 R was ran perfectly then was parked for 2 years. The key now get stuck in ignition. The battery has been replaced but the car simply will not start. All plugs and simple things seem ok. I did try to unlock to reset the ani theft but have no clue what else to do.

 

So have you managed to get the engine to turn over on the starter at all, or was the key jammed from the start?

Is the vehicles auto in Park? Have you tried wiggling the steering wheel a bit and with foot on the brake pedal also to release steering lock / key?

Any fuel in tank and is it perhaps stale from the 2year sit?
