1998 V70R ABS Module fault code ABS-112
Hello, I have a 1998 V70R w/ just under 170,000 miles that I'm trying to bring back to be a reliable daily driver. The ABS light and Tracs lights are both on in the dash. My Autel scanner shows a couple of fault codes. The one I'm currently trying to repair is the code ABS-112 Control module. General Fault. I purchased a repaired unit from eBay and installed it but still get the fault code and ABS light/Tracs lights on in the dash. I tried a few times to clear the code without success. Does this mean the replacement module is bad? Or could it be due to something else? I'm waiting for replacement bolts to reinstall the module since the old ones are pretty chewed up. I had to use a dremel to cut the bolt head from one of the bolts to remove the old ABS module. I currently have the replacement module held in place with the three old bolts tighten only finger tight. Any advice is appreciated. Thanks.

Here's what I found online regarding that code. Seems to suggest you either have a wiring issue or perhaps the replacement unit was also bad. What I'd do is check sites like Midwest ABS or Xemodex for any of there diagnostics content to see if they talk specifically about resolving this code and price out having them test/rebuild your original controller board.

mt6127 - thanks for this information. The way I read it, sounds like it's an issue with the ABS control module. I'll check out Midwest ABS and Xemodex to see who's got the best deal. Thanks again.

Midwest ABS is the best. Matt from Midwest ABS was awesome to work with in figuring out what the problem could be.
i ordered a replacement ABS module from him and after installing it and doing a minor repair to the wiring on the front passenger side, my ABS warning lights are off and all systems are a go-go.
