Default 2000 xc clicking in front wheel

Bought a new wagon the other day and needed to change the front passenger bellows boot. Changed it fine, but now there's a distinct clicking sound when coasting. all I did was remove the tire, unattach the tie rod, remove the outer tie rod, replace the boot and reinstall. Wife informed me the next day of the clicking. Definitely not a mechanic, but I like diy and it seemed easy enough. Did I forget something? Potentially mess something up? Total coincedence? Any insight is welcome. Thanks! Happy thanksgiving!

Not sure about the clicking, I'd have to hear it. But don't forget to have it aligned.

Best way I can describe the clicking noise is like a roller coaster (tick-tick-tick...), not nearly as aggressive as a roller coaster, but same sound. When I changed the bellows boot, I marked it to make sure it would line back up. It's driving straight, but I still need to take it in for alignment? I am noticing the clicking on sharp right turns as well. Clicking speed follows the speed of the wheel spinning. Everything seems to point to a cv joint, but is that just a strange coincedence? I never bothered it while changing the bellows boot.

Sounds like the CV joint.

The tie rod is the adjustment for toe. Taking it off and putting it back on requires an alignment.
