Hello, I'm hoping to get some help here. I have a 98 V70 AWD turbo. I changed the front brake pads on the car about 6 months ago. A couple months ago, there was clanking in the front left, and my mechanic kindly pointed out that the bottom caliper mounting bolt on the front left wheel had fallen out, so the caliper was hinged on the top bolt. This was causing the caliper to seize on the rotor when I would reverse, which was freaking me out. I removed the caliper and the remaining bolt so I would know what I needed to buy. I went to several auto part stores, and no one had the bolts I needed, but they all kept pulling out these bolts.

I finally went to the Volvo dealer, told them what I needed, and they pulled out the correct bolts. I've since moved to an island, and it has happened again. Apparently my He-Man strength was not enough to tighten the bolts, and I need some locktight on them. But there is no Volvo dealer near, only a NAPA. I found the bolts I need on Partsgeek here. I'd really like to get them locally so I don't need to order them.

Why am I having a hard time finding the correct bolts? Am I calling them the wrong name?

 

Caliper bolts. You can order them from a dealer and they will ship them to you. Or you can go pull a couple from a jy. Matter of fact, I would pull the entire wheel hub because something is wrong with that one.
