99 V70 246K miles - The ABS randomly chatters so I sent the ABS module out to Midwest. Got it back quickly, but still have the problem. What and Where should I look for further issues. I don't want to point the blame at Midwest without good cause. I sent the ABS module in as it has a high failure rate. Midwest is rated highly by others, so away it went with my fingers crossed.

Any ideas?

 

Wheel sensors dirty or no signal

 

Well, finally got around to looking at the tone rings. Driver side was rusted, cracked and missing a tooth. Passenger side was rusty and boots were ripped. I replaced both axle assemblies from NAPA for $75 ea with exchange. Piece of cake and problem solved.
