Default Blocked pcv,

Hello, hoping you can help, I have a 98 V70R, The pcv system is blocked, car smokes and if left ticking over and then revved clouds of whiteish smoke comes out of the exhaust, The pipes and oil trap were replaced about four years ago so hoping that's all ok, I have taken the air hose off and checked the ptc valve and it seems clear how ever the pipe is damaged where it joins the turbo, could that be causing the problem?, any thoughts appreciated,

Hello, I have replaced the above pipe and had the pcv kit fitted, oil trap and two pipes but still smokes and blows up a glove over the oil filler, any suggestions on where the blockage could be would be appreciated,

if left ticking over and then revved
This here is a specific indication that it needs intake valve seals. That's not unheard of.

however, that's not related to why it would be inflating a glove. It's could be inflating the glove because of lots of wear and tear for which the only remedy is a major overhaul. Maybe.

did the shop also clean out the block ports? you may want to try dropping the oil pan and seeing if you find sludge and clean that out. I'd also consider a seafoam treatment just prior as well. Can't really hurt if the next step is a rebuild/replace.

I don't know if they cleaned the ports, They cut open the old oil trap and it was very clean inside, will buy some sea foam and hope for the best,

yep, if the ports are clogged at the block, it really doesn't matter what the oil separator looks like :-) or you can research "catch cans" to make your own PCV breather.
