Default error codes and check engine light

The check engine light has been on in my '99 V70 non-turbo for a short while but finally got an OBDII scanner and got the codes from it. What does P0301 and P0455 and how can I fix them? Thanks

Edit: So I found that P0301 is a cylinder 1 misfire. That would explain the sudden loss of power sometimes, but it stopped happening after some time.

P0455 apparently has something to do with vacuum lines?

Thanks

I've recently acquired a 1999 V70 to act as my kayak and mountain bikes carrier (aka pack horse).

Since buying it, it's had the "check engine" light on, and I've been searching for OBDII codes ever since getting the car. I came across this - Swedespeed Forums - OBDII to Volvo Code Conversion List.

Though it does not list the P0455, it does list P0456 which is "Tank system, leakage -- Minor leak". Looking at OBDII codes, it seems most codes adjacent in numbers, tends to be similar fault(s). So it's worth a shot to see if your's is also this fault.

Do a search for "P0455" and see what it pulls up.

I did some research to find that it's a large leak in the EVAP system.

I found this thread: https://volvoforums.com/forum/volvo-s70-33/p0455-8638/

Common areas are apparently a vacuum line near the fuel filter or the gas cap. I'll replace the cap to see if that's the problem, but I'm not sure of the location of the fuel filter to locate that problematic vacuum line.

The fuel filter on the '98 models are just inside and in front of the passenger side rear tire.

Alright, perhaps it was silly of me to overlook this, but could this be a possible explanation as to why its detecting the leak?
