Default First Car Advice!

Hi
I'm turning 16 soon and I really want a car. My dad said something big and safe but I want something quick and fun. I am looking at the V70 R from 98-00. Are they pretty cheap to maintain? How is insurance? Also, are there any mods that are a good bang for your buck? Any advice will be helpful.
Thanks

If you're dad is not familuar with Turbo Volvo's that would be a nice fit. LOL

The '98 can be easier to work on and maintain yourself. The '99 - '00's are a little harder to work on because of more advanced electronics.

IMO, any turbo Volvo would be a nice fun car between '94 - '98. Just make sure you have it checked out real well or use the 850 buyers guide.
