Default fuel gauge not working

Hey guys, My fuel gauge dosn't work in my 98 v70 awd. I replaced the sending unit in the tank and it still dosnt work. When I turn the car over the fuel the gauge goes to the bottom,0, but no higher. any ideas?

Nothing to do, then, but see if you can trace the wiring and look for breaks. Take a multimeter and check for continuity. I'll bet you can also use the multimeter and find the signal wire for the sending unit. Use a t-pin to carefully backprobe the wires on the harness and find the one which varies as you move the float arm up and down. Most likely it is a fault in the wiring, though there's a possibility of a cluster problem as well.

I have my doubts whether that's it, but since it's free, worth a try
