HELP PLEASE! Looking to do away with the PCV system some how.
Is there anyway I can do away with it or change to after market.. something. Anything. Also I'm finding it hard to find aftermarket parts is there a website yal go to? I would like to get my v70 ready for stage 2 everything.. new to this so any little bit of help will be well appreciated! I would like to get bumpers, skirts, hood.
Yes, I'm sorry, it just so hard to find parts, well after market parts. I'm not sure what can fit what or what will interchange and what won't. It's my first volvo and I bought it used. Trying to replace something's before I take it on the road for work.
And you want to customize and "stage 2" a car before you "take it on the road for work"
I would think you would want a reliable car - that you could depend on so you could actually make money at work instead of trying to keep a 20 year old customized Volvo running.
The way that tank fits onto the engine, it wouldn't be super-easy to do. The inlet to the tank has a hose clamp on it, that's easy. But the drain of the tank fits inside the engine, and so there's nothing to attach to there. You'd have to build something rigid that fits onto the engine and holds a pipe in that hole. I don't expect anybody in the aftermarket cares about that.
I am probably out of touch, but I've never heard about these parts being hard to find. I can believe it, but this is definitely the first I've heard of it.

it sounds like you are asking about a "catch can" kit. Essentially its an external oil separator that doesn't push back into the intake. You will still need to vent the crankcase and the kits are designed to tap off the existing ports. Easy enough to google for info on catch cans.
I'm 63, retired, degreed mechanical engineer, and have been working on cars since 1974.
With that said, I recently bought a '98 V70XC and the source of the (massive) oil leak was a broken breather hose by the turbo air inlet hose.
The breather hose contraption that Volvo offers is a retarded design. Do yourself a favor and get a piece of this hose: McMaster-Carr #5133K24 and couple of hose clamps.
The larger diameter hose will slow the velocity of the breather air down and will have less propensity to push the oil up from the seperator tank to the high point in the hose (then down hill to the turbo inlet).
You'll have to take off the intake manifold on this model, but its pretty easy.
Good luck.
