Hi,

My Volvo s80 1999 163000 KM need to check or change PCV, but I am not willing to give to the any mechanic to replace because so far its going good. But yes there is a smoke coming out frm dip stick and I am sure my PCV system is clogged or need replacement.

My Q is, since PCV is just take the gases from engine and put it back ...why not if I keep the Oil dip stick out to get the gases out from there, does it help ???? or any other ideas so that I do not need to do the heavy job of PCV replacement.

The pressure will blow the seals out over time.

Change the oil catch tank. I had the same problem
