Looking to buy '98 V70R
I keep trying to get back into Volvos. Almost bought a friends 850R, now I'm in a position to look at a V70R: 1998 Volvo V70 R
I've done a fair bit of research and I know AWD is a weak spot along with heater cores and PCV systems. Seller says AWD was serviced at 140k, ad says PCV kit was done recently, and he told me he's done the heater core recently as well. Carfax comes back clean and it was regularly serviced by a Volvo dealer.
In your opinion, is this a solid car worth considering as a reliable DD? I loved my 850 GLT and would love to be back into a Volvo.

I likely won't be in a position to have a shop look it over. I'll be looking at the car on a Saturday morning and the best shop in Denver isn't open on Satudays. It's 5 hours away and we are going to be in Denver for a little mini vacation, trying to squeeze in looking at it.
I'm starting to second guess myself and look for a newer, lower mileage car. I bought my Saab in August and I've already put too much money into it - even though it was just supposed to get me by for a while.
I like the thought of the V70R, just want to make sure I don't buy another nickel and dimer. lol.
