New V70R Owner
Hello all!
I just bought a 2000 Volvo V70R the other day. Never worked on one of these frames before so I'm new to this platform. Anything I need to keep an eye on? Tips, tricks?
Has 191,000 miles so far. Transmission was fully rebuilt at 140,000ish and timing belt was done at 150,000. Has front mounted intercooler, cold air intake, catless downpipe and tuned by ARD.
I know for sure that I need to figure out why the rear passenger window wont roll down, why the rear wiper doesn't work and what is causing the popping noise in the front end when going over bumps. I do believe it is the strut mounts though.. I can raise the hood and push down on the front end and the strut mounts move. It's like they're worn out so to speak.
Anyways, thank you in advance for any insight y'all can give me and any tips tricks or even part numbers or whatever! I'm open for any and all advice!!

when you press the down button for the rear window can you see the lights dim or hear anything? Popping noises in the front end is usually the strut mounts (actually the spring seat is a typical fault) or can be the sway bar end links. as to the rear wiper, assume you checked fuses, power to the wiper motor? a common fault is the plastic gears break or jam up = trip to the local pick-a-part for a replacement motor unit. To figure out what's up with the door you may need to check circuit breaker and fuses then pull off the door card to see if the guide pins or motor are jammed up.
Good places for parts would be FCPEURO.COM, EEUROPARTS.COM and TASCAPARTS.COM (OEM Volvo stuff at the best prices I've seen).
