Default photo: where does the hose from this go?

I'm having idling problems with my trusty old V70. I appear to be missing a hose shortly passed the outlet from the MAF. Here are two photos. The nipple without its hose is clearly shown in the first two pictures. The last picture is an approximately 2 foot hose (found by the battery) that appears to fit the nipple. But if it does belong there, to what does it attach and where?

EDITED TO ADD: This may have emission items particular to California. That could make identifying what goes on the nipple more complicated.
I do not understand why the first photo only shows up as code. It shows while in edit mode.

What goes on that nipple if this is not the right hose?

Well, a mechanic solved the issue. Ironically, the tube in question was visible in the photo above. It's the thin white tube, with the connecting end hanging down below and out of sight.

Here it is properly connected. I will eventually find out where it goes on my own unless someone else here pipes up.
