Default Radio GaGa

The factory CD player in my '98 v70 GLT seems to now be past it and needs to be changed out. Is there a recommended install kit for adapting a current model of radio/CD deck into the dash of these cars? I have installed more than my share of car audio back in the day but never had to adapt to factory dash physical characteristics for an installation. In this case, the climate control center. Any input would be helpful!

You shouldn't need anything special to mount a new head unit. The factory unit itself is a standard "double DIN" so you can either go with that size or use a single DIN and use the free space for something else (like a nice trio of gauges..) The only caution is that there's not a whole lot of extra space behind it so not all after market units will fit - Check out Crutchfield's web site for some free info on which units fit depth-wise. You should be able to find adaptors for the wiring too either on eBay or a well stocked car audio site.
