Default Rear door locks wont pop up?

yup, they just stay down, like they dont have just enough power to jump up. When I hit the key fob I can see them move, but its just not enough to make them go up? Need new actuators? The safety locks are off. Its back rear doors, the front and hatch are fine.

Help? Thanks.

Bad latch. Actually the motor inside the latch has a thermal switch failure. Most people simply replace the latch. The latch can be removed, taken apart, motor removed, motor taken apart, the chip removed and replaced and a solid jump wire installed.

is there write up for this or hard to do? Anyone happen to know the partnumber for the chip replacement? When we talk of the latch itsel being bad, is it a linkage issue or internal part problem?

Intermal motor. Motor has a protective chip to stop the motor from burning up if it's locked and unlocked to often to soon. When the chip goes bad it doesn't let the motor unlock the latch.

Kind of a pain to do, most people won't be able to get the latch apart, then motor apart, then all that stuff back together. I pull laptops apart all the time so the small details don't bother me.

I'd like to atempt to fix this, its really bothering me.

Can you expain the fix? I have to take the door pannel off then go from there? Or a direct fix it to replace the latch? the outside door opener latch is what we are talking about, Right?

Sorry to be a pain, but you seem to be the only help i can find of fixing this.

I opened it up but didn't remove the whole mechanism due to time and tool constraints. I need to borrow a soldering iron. I read about this red evil plastic thingy that is also an issue and saw it with the latch assembled. With kids not needing a ride after this week, it is not a top priority for me, but eventually I want to fix it and will post my findings and pictures when I do.

If anyone has step by step pics on this jumper wire fix please share. Would be a beneficial write up as the red evil plactic thingy fix seems too involved.

Anyone know if the S70's rear door latch system will work in my V70?
