Barbarossa - where are you located? I'd categorize parts shops in 3 buckets - Dealer mail order such as volvowholesalepartsdirect.com (west coast), tascaparts.com (east coast) and a couple others you can google for Genuine Volvo parts and top shelf help with diagrams, part numbers etc. Next are what I'd call Volvo or euro car specialists. Typically they sell Genuine Volvo, OEM and after market. FCPEURO.COM, eeuroparts.com (both east coast) IPDUSA.com and Autohauzaz.com (west coast) are four I've used. Finally there are national parts places (NAPA etc) and online stores like Rock Auto who will sell after market and occasionally OEM. I've found NAPA and other big box auto parts stores are great for generic parts like batteries, bulbs, etc. Oil I tend to buy from Walmart but stick to top brands like Castrol, Mobil1 etc where the specs are listed to match. I always use Mann filters and buy in bulk from a Volvo friendly site.
