Default Wheel hub and PCV advice needed

I have a 2000 xc70 and have seen the step by step instructions posted on various forums for both the wheel hub replacement and the pcv valve replacement.

My question is this:
Can a mechanically inclined, albeit inexperienced, weekend warrior perform these repairs?

I've changed out rear shocks, MAS air flow sensor and various minor tasks (spark plugs, oil changes etc) but I'm slightly daunted about the wheel hub and PCV stuff.

Also, what would an Indy charge if I go that route?

Thanks in advance for the advice!

You've seen the instructions. You know your ability and what tools you have.

As for labor times, front wheel hubs are about 2 hours and rears are 2.5 I believe. The breather box is 3.5 to 4 hours.

jbarker - the thing about the PCV is you need to remove some plumbing and then lift the intake manifold out of the way to get access to the PCV components. There's a few Youtube videos that show the process - that's the easy way to judge. As for the wheel hub, the axle needs to come out and there are a few tricky clips you need to deal with that may require a special tool (like clip pliers etc). There's some unbolting to do to make room but if you'd seen the step by step you should know that. So my advise is 1) look for some vids to see if you need any tools 2) work with a back up plan - ie who do you call in if you get stuck? what do you do if you need to order a different part? If you're not comfortable, this is a job almost any Indy mechanic can do as there's no real special knowledge about the Volvo to do a wheel hub.
