Volvo S40 Rear Wheel Hub and Bearings Question
Hello All,
I'm new to this forum and was wondering if I could get some help with my fiance's 06 volvo s40.
It appears her driver's side rear wheel bearings are giving out and I had two questions.
1.) Can the bearings be replaced by themselves, or do I have to replace the whole hub assembly?
2) What brand is best to buy?
Thanks in advance for your help!

Hi, CPVolvo....
There's a great thread on the subject that was started in April 2011 by "Volvo Newbie" that addresses the issue (which I am sure I will experience within the next year or two....currently dealing with my FRONT ones)...so check it out. I inspected my REARS, how they're installed, etc., and think it's within my limitations to replace when the time comes..... "mike.k" in that thread seemed to have it down pat... bing-bang-boom, less than an hour (His diet coke suggestion?...LOL...hey, why not?)...Brands? Beck/Arnley, Timken, Moog...none of these guys are shlubbs.
