I have a 2000 volvo xc70, and after about 20 mins of driving, the winter mode light will come on and start to flash, I also have the check engine light on. But sometimes while it's flashing it seems to go into winter mode, limiting my acceleration, driving slow. And sometimes it won't come on while the light flashes. This all happens without even touching the winter mode switch. Always start driving with winter mode off. Anybody know a solution to this?? I really hope it's not the computer or anything really expensive. Please help me?? Thank you

 

Have a shop or auto parts store scan the codes. The car is dropping into limp home mode.
