01 v70 xc spark plugs
I pulled a plug on my 01 v70 and it has the triple ground electrode setup. The plugs look possibly original. Is it vital that I put these triple ones back in or do regular ones work ok for these 2.4 turbo models? I checked the parts houses and none of them had the oe style so I haven't bought any yet.

It's not critical to have original spark plugs, but Volvo ignition is a little bit unusual in my opinion, particularly with small spark plug gaps and low voltage compared to most things on the road. Based on that is probably is better to have the originals. cheap as spark plugs are, why not? $32 a set at FCP. If you want to save $15 you are doing the right thing searching the forums for some recommendations based on use. Personally I am using NGK's and getting along fine at the specified .028 gap. I don't prefer to put platinum or other "lasts forever" featurism in any car, and especially not in this case. You want an easy-to-fire plug.
