03' v70 needs rear suspension job- what brand parts?
I have been given an estimate for the rear suspension, the car has 215K miles onit, well cared for but I can feel and hear the symptoms are bad, but this shop has a horrendous cost on parts ; like $200 for strut mount each, $304 each for shock absorber, $534 each for coil springs !!!
So , I said to them this is far too costly for me , asked if we can use other parts, so can you guys help here , what brand to trust ? They will allow me to buy parts to put them on.
Just a grocery getter, no performance stuff.
Any help much appreciated !

I don't think this forum gets viewed on a regular basis, I'll do what I can to help.
Three sources I look to for ordering parts: FCP Euro, IPD, and eEuroparts. Rock Auto might be even cheaper, but their site isn't as informative.
Sachs and Lemfoerder are OEM. If the rear shocks are Nivomat (self leveling) plan on spending extra $$$. Are the coil springs actually broken? I did my rear shocks and added an IPD swaybar at 226,000, and the rear springs were fine...
