2001 with new valve body. How much jerk should i expect from 1st to 2nd?
So I bought this 2001 on condition that the seller repair the transmission and a few other items. He took it to a transmission shop and the invoice says:
"Valve body replaced" $850.00
there is a 6 month warranty as well. So I get the car back and it seems to be driving well, but now and again I get some pretty strong "clunks" between 1st and second. Really only in low RPM shifts and not all the time. So I'm a bit confused. I may be a bit hyper vigilant about the shifts but you can really feel it clunk when it does. My next thought is to run it up to the dealer and have the software checked out and see if it has the updated transmission software. The other item i guess is the B4 Servo cap fix? Besides that, has anyone had this issue after the valve body was replaced? Could this be a busted mount? Just wondering what any of you would do in this position.
Any insight would be helpful.

It could certainly be something in the valve body causing rough shifts, or could very easily be a worn engine or transmission mount. It's pretty easy to visually check the two that would likely cause the problem - the top one is obvious, right in the center near the firewall. The bottom one is obvious as well, though you do have to get under the car to check it. In both cases, if you see cracked rubber around the center metal insert, chances are that you'll fix your clunk with one or two new (and pretty cheap) mounts.
