2001 V70 new wiper blades?
I bought this car used a few years ago and one of the first oddities that I came across is the wipers or rather how the wipers attach.
I bought new wipers at the autoparts store and then discovered that the shepherd's crook was not the standard size.
Any ideas why?
Also, does anyone other than Volvo sell replacement blades that will fit that crook?
Thanks.

These wipers are as common as dirt. The problem is, you can't just go into the auto parts store and expect to get the right fit.
You can buy these at WalMart the SuperTech brand. They are inexpensive and fit perfectly. Note that LH and RH are different sizes.

pretty common for euro cars (VWs, Audis etc). You should be able to reuse the retaining clips that snap onto the pin on the replacement blade, but brands like Bosch, Michelin and Anco come with a choice of clips
