2001 V70 service messages
I am looking for advice/direction regarding two service messages: STC Service Required and Engine System Service Required.
Situation: Vehicle has 187,000 miles and ran fairly well. The vehicles was not run for the past two weeks due to being away. Vehicle started up fine and the two messages appeared, both for the first time ever.
After the vehicle warmed up, I put it in reverse and it sputtered. It then ran in reverse, however, it would only only creep very lethargically to get it back into the driveway.
Does anyone have any experience with what I am dealing with?
Any help would be appreciated, thank you in advance!

I also have a 2001 V70 (T5). My message (DSTC light & check engine) is also on. The Volvo shop recommends to R&R the Accelerometer (EST: $280.00). Presently I just shut off the system, my warning lights still stay on. (215,777 miles ) I will be getting it fixed soon. I really like this car.
