we're in oak park, chicago, took it to oak park dealer 4 mos ago w. same prob, dealer kept car for 4 days, couldn't figure it out, guess what? the car magically started. my wife's having the same prob. today, i really don't want to take it back to this dealer.

anyway, plenty of power, car is very well maintained, garaged, low miles. i'm wondering if it's a safety relay icw transmission? i tried moving the wheel and shifter, no dice.

any thoughts? thanks very much. were new, today, to this site.

 

update - volvo of oak park said it's a loose connection between ignition switch and starter.
$175, parts and labor... fyi.
