Default 2004 Volvo V70 L5 2.5L MAF housing crack

No error codes but when I changed out the engine air filter today, I saw the MAF housing is cracked.
The sensor is DENSO 9202199 MB197408-0040 and housing cylinder is marked >PBT-GF30<.
I found the sensor (just in case) with no housing and found the same number housing with a different sensor. Can I unscrew the phillip head screws and swap sensors?
I watched a video with a guy who reuse his housing and replaced just his sensor. I have the opposite problem.
I have added pics of my cracked housing plus the 2 new parts I plan to buy compared to my original.
Anybody got an opinion before I buy??? Will it work?
Thanks in advance for your wisdom, ideas and any info you can give me.

Original part may work

Same sensor as original

Replacement w/ same 5 prongs

same >PBT-GF30<

same >PBT-GF30<

Same screw attachment as original sensor.

Why are you "buying"?
Do you have a problem with the parts you have?
Or, do you just "think" there is something wrong and have extra money (I don't) to spend on stuff you don't need?
How about waiting until there is an actual problem with something and spending the money on that?
In the meantime use your funds for - shelter, food, clothing, retirement, etc.

Hey, I just wanted to change the engine air filter. It was filthy and filled with debris and sand.
There is a physical crack on MAF housing that attaches to the air filter housing with a gap between them.
Isn't it supposed to be air tight? Or it doesn't matter? I thought it all had to be tight and not cracked with gaps in the connections. Guess I'm stupid.
The car has random revving/wheezing fits in idle now and again, completely random with days/weeks between fits, then drives fine.
It did have error code PO100 a couple of times a week or 2 ago. Now it does not.
When I saw the crack, I thought the random oddities might be due to the gap opening and resealing itself as it's driven. I drive on some bumpy country roads.
Figured I could change out the fool thing as it is one of the few things in an engine that is easily accessible and I might solve my random problem.
But if it can drive fine with a bad connection between MAF sensor and air filter housing, I won't bother.
Just for laughs and giggles, can I put that correct sensor into that new housing that comes with incorrect sensor if they are all the proper and same size and correct numbered replacement parts?

If your MAF housing is cracked I would replace it. You don't want unfiltered air entering your turbo and engine. Especially with all the sand/dirt I see in your pictures. You can probably get the correct housing (might come with a MAF, but I wouldnt use it if yours is fine) from a junk yard for about $30.

With the change in orientation and screw position I don't think a 2005+ MAF housing will work for you. You MAF wont sit correctly in respect to the air flow with the other housing.
