I'm new to the Volvo forums and hope to fit right in here with you all,I love everything Volvo.

I just took a chance on a 197 k V70 06 registered D5 SE the car has full history up till 192 k ,Timing belt and pump have been done at 132k then 175k .

The car was cheap with very little mot left on it, The power steering has an issue ,it's solid then soft comes and goes the pumps noisey,the last owner said he fitted a new reservoir,so at this point I'm assuming he's not flushed the oil fluid and overfilled (hopefully lol )
Knocking coming from the driver side ,I've bought ball joints and arms for both sides,last mot has advisories on them.

Fluid for gearbox 6l
Oil and filter 6l
Power steering fluid bought
Front pads ordered

Today I cut back the headlights and gave them a clear coat ,so much better.

I was missing the rear passenger side base seat,Called up a few local scrap yards ,to my luck they have two .

​​​​someone's looking after me with the volvo as the seat base was cream leather, Exactly the same for
£20 .

I still need the bootlid cover and a Wing mirror cover ,if anyone knows anyone give me a shout.

Jacked the car up today done the steering fluid flush ,man the stuff that came out was awful. I'm glad I've done it but not drove to see if it helps,The power steering pump sounds so much better and it felt good on the stands.

Again I've no experience with Volvo but I want to save this old tank, pictures will follow.
