2010 v70 misfire and sputtering during start
Hello having some weird problems with my 2010 v70.
Got the car two years ago from my dad who was the original owner since 2010.
Car has 165,255 miles on it current but when we got it, it was close to 140,000.
Right after receiving car, check engine light kept going off.
Error codes flashed misfire in coils 5/6.
Took it to a local mechanic not Volvo specialist and they replaced the coils and all new spark plugs.
Check engine light kept coming back but car seemed to run fine.
Throughout this process I also noticed an issue with the car starting. Sometimes if the car sits for a couple days unused, it will crank really slowly almost as if the battery was drained and occasionally stalls out at the first attempt. It always starts by the 2nd attempt though.
This only happens occasionally, sometimes it starts up just fine.
Fast forward to a few weeks back. I was driving home from the mountains, check engine light went back on and and the car was shaking while idling, a clear misfire.
Made it home safely and brought the car to a shop that specializes in Volvos.
He said the misfire and the start up issue were probably separate from each other and it was hard to even replicate the problem.
He read the error codes and it was the same two cylinders misfiring. Apparently the other shop only replaced the two and not even with Bosch parts.
The current mechanic said we needed to replace all the ignition coils and a new set of spark plugs.
Picked up the car the next day and then within a couple days the car started misfiring again , shaking during idle etc the same as when we brought it in.
Mechanic said it was likely an electrical issue, then held onto my car for about two weeks.
Picked it up and have been driving longer distances about and hour each way to test the car before we have an upcoming camping trip requiring a 6 hour drive.
After the 2nd day, the check engine light went back on, then turned back off. Two days later the car was visibly shaking during idle but no error codes have popped up and it seems to go in between normal running and misfiring. Needless to say I don't want to risk driving it 6 hours each way for a camping trip..
Does anyone have any idea what's going on here or anything to try? These guys clearly don't know what's up or don't want to spend the time actually fixing the problem.
Thanks

if you suspect an issue with the coils, try swapping between cylinders (ie swap #1 with #5 and see if the misfire codes change). I'd also inspect the wire harness to the coils - any signs of cracked connectors? Have you scanned the car for other stored codes? What do the plugs look like? any signs of running too rich or too not? Thinking fuel pressure issues etc. Did the shaking only happen at idle or under load?
