Default abs light

changed the hubs on the back wheels (not volvo parts) and now the abs light is on. Got the abs reset but immediately comes back on again as i drive up the road is it because i have not used genuine volvo parts that the sensors wont pick up the abs. V70 '02 2.4 diesel. Thanks. Also would it fail an Mot on this?

Yep, most likely a low quality aftermarket part that has either no tone ring in the hub or the incorrect spacing.

When the ABS codes were cleared what were they? Assumption would be for one of the rear wheels. Did you double check the rear ABS system components for damage?

Unless the axle bolts were not reinstalled or both sensors were damaged/not secured, then yes, you'll need to replace the hubs again. You can try another aftermarket one, but sometimes you get what you pay for.

I would find out what the codes are though. Maybe its only one side and there was a manufacturing defect with one hub.
