Hi everyone, just bought a used but great looking 2002 V70 wagon. The airbag warning and dash light is on and wont go away. The garage when running diagnostics shows no errors. They claim to have replaced the airbags unit and still get the error message. They are referring me to another garage that can fix this for me, yet I find it odd they won't do it...Also my reversing and rear fog lights don't work. I checked the bulbs and fuses, all good.
Any solutions out there would be fantastic.
Thanks for your help!

If there are no codes when scanned with a compatible scanner you might have a problem with your DIM. Erroneous SRS messages are common with DIM failures.
Thank you for your replies! After a little more research on Google I went to look under the driver seat. I found a the cable unplugged and somewhat broken cable. Why the mechanics never bothered to check is beyond me, but, that should, I hope resolve my airbag warning once reconnected!
For such an old car taking it to a Volvo garage is overkill considering what they charge.
So, now onto the next issue, my reverse light and rear fog lights not working, yes the bulbs are good and so are the fuses...
Thanx gain for all your help!
If you plugged in the seat sensor, you will still need to get the car scanned to have the code cleared. This doesn't require a shop with VIDA, just a full feature OBD2 scanner that can view/clear "chassis codes" like SRS. Your $29 Harbor freight unit won't do this.. :-(
