My SRS warning lamp stays on constantly. I disconnected the passanger side when I took off the dashboard trying to fix some squeeking noises. I drove around for a few days without reinstalling it. Could this be the cause for the warning light? How do I get rid of it?

 

i had to disconnect the airbag when I was replacing the dash light in my 850 wagon

had the lights reset in my car an it went away. be sure its properly installed before you have it done though. if you dont have the tool to do it yourself, you will need to go to a private shop. dealers are going to try and convince you that a full rebuild will be required.

the light will otherwise stay red because its a major part of the volvo safety package.

 

As long as that light is on you do not have airbags.

 

Have the codes read and cleared.
