Default brake? abs service warning

Hi Guys. I have just purchased a 2003 v70 d5. The car is showing a traction control service warning on my dash. Now I know this can be caused by a multitude of things. But I have notice my steering wheel is not central when the wheels are straight. Could this be a cause ? thanks.

How many degrees off center is it whilst driving straight.

Did you bump a curbstone and possibly bend a control arm?

Inspect the pulse rings for cracks and sensor wires for breaks. Bring a bright light.

The service warning light and off-center steering wheel mightn't be connected.

Either way, you are going to need a scan tool to read the codes. Start by reading the codes. My bet is that the steering angle sensor that is part of the clockspring has failed. Someone may have removed the wheel to investigate and installed it a spline or two off.
