Default Warning lights showing in error

I have a constant message 'Transmisson Service Required'. My local independent (ex-Volvo) repairer has checked it and says that the transmission is fine, and that after resetting the warning light it comes back on again. Also every week or so I get the full set of warning lights, Brake Failure, STC fault, Power Steeringfault. The car drives fine through all these warnings, and most warnings disappear when I restart the car, andonly the transmission service warning remains. My repairer thinks it probably needs a replacement ECUbut is worried that this expensive job may not fix the problem.
Does anyone know of aneasy way to just stop the warnings displaying?

Thanks for that, I agree it's time for a different ABS module. Does anywhere know where I can get this done in the south of England?
