It is suppose to take your original mileage and transpose but I'm not sure if a software download is required to make this happen.

Just swapping it will do nothing. They are programmed to the car.

You can have the dealer try a DIM reload.

It is because i have some problem with mine..

the seatbelt light, only light sometimes

one odometer sometimes Resetting itself..

So i can buy another working cheper to fix my own.. so i can take another cluster and put in mine with no problems or???

Your best options are to have the DIM repaired, either by the sponsor in the sidebar, or by Xemodex. The dash bezel and 4 Torx screws hold it in, just one electrical connection plug.

A rebuilt one should be plug-and-play, a used one would likely have to be 'married' to the car. Plus, you're likely to inherit all the used one's shortcomings (and potential failure).

I took mine out, rush shipped it to Xemodex, and had back in the car within 48 hours. Great service, great tech support.

For the record, the DIM is not the only place where the mileage is stored, so if you swap DIMs, you get the higher of the two mileages, which is only fair, as otherwise shady used car dealers could swap in DIMs and shave miles off used cars.
