Did I make a wise purchase?

Did I make a wise purchase?
I just purchased on Friday a 2001 V70 XC AWD, 85,500 miles, one owner. Vehicle is in really really nice shape cosmetically and seems to be mechanically also. I purchased it from a dealer that I used to work for, and the sold it to me for $6,100 plus tax & tags of course.
Two things I would say are negatives about it, will probably need tires before winter time, and there is hail damage. We decided not to have the hail damage fixed before purchasing and if you arent looking for it its not obvious at all.
So my questions are - Did I make a wise purchase?
What things should I look for that might be problems?

The big question is, are you happy with it ??
If so, then you chose wisely. As for tires, this way you get to have new deep tread when the snow flies and you get to choose your own brand, tread pattern and quality.
I always look at that as a plus as you can argue about price using the replacements cost as a factor but yet you get the full advantage of the tires rather than driving on what might be poor quality, noisy half worn out rubber.
