Default Engine noise and vibrations transmitting into passenger compartment

I've got significant engine noises and vibrations transferring into the interior of my 2003 V70XC.

Thinking its most likely engine mounts that have died and need to be replaced, but thought I would check here first to see if this is common and what the typical fix is.

Hey Brian, I doubt that mounts would cause SIGNIFICANT noise & vibration. Please post a video or have a mechanic check it out.

Well, significant is one of those words that is open to interpretation,.....Its much more evident than I think it should be. I've owned prior S80, 850GLT FWD Volvos (and MANY Rear drive Volvos including 122 sedans and wagons and two 1800ES wagons), and worked at a Volvo Dealer for many years during the Rear Drive turbo years, and this just seems like something in the driveline is rubbing against the body/chassis somewhere.

Any other suggestions? I'm not a "take it to the dealer" kind of guy. Always do my own work.

Interesting...see my post about cabin vibration just posted the other day:
https://volvoforums.com/forum/2001-2...-mounts-74313/

My motor mounts are good. But, I was questioning the 4 rubber mounts for the sub-carrier below the engine.

Anyone?
