Fuel Pump Removal tool

Not sure about the XC70, but I know the fuel pump was recalled on the 02 s60's and several other models. Might be worth looking into. To have Volvo repair at their cost.

Stop,
this is something that I was doing on my V70 AWD the other week - there's a really easy way to do it.
get yourself a short length of 120mm plastic pipe, a saw and a marker pen.
offer the plastic pipe up to the fuel pump tabs, mark the tabs on the pipe, now slice the pipe on the marker.
When you've done 1/2 - 2/3 of the pipe drill a hole through the top of the pipe (large enough to get your socket sets bar through or a big screw driver.
et voila - you've spend about 30 minutes and a couple of dollars to build a tool.
Hope that helps,
Paul.
