Default High or low pressure turbo?

Hi all,
First query just joined. Have searched for it on the form but can't find the answer for my vehicle.
I was wondering about the turbo on my car and whether it's LP or HP. Was considering chipping but have found out that it's already done, so from around 230hp when new to 270hp after chipping 2 years ago.
Question 1; how do I tell if it's a high or low pressure turbo
2; any recommendations for increase in turbo performance. Car is not slow but more is always (almost always) better right?
If I am in the wrong place please let me know, new to forums and still trying to get the hang of it (older fella obviously)
Thanks in advance
Car is 2010 2.5 FT V70

The best way is to look at the VIN or the engine designation on the timing belt cover. The badging is also a good clue - if you have a 2.5T odds are you have a low pressure turbo, if you have a T5 its or R, its a high pressure turbo. For interesting reading on which engines were used in which models, you can google "volvo modular engine wiki"

OK thanks, after I posted this I kept on searching in the forum and eventually found a similar answer to the one you just gave so I thank you and apologise for not being a little more patient in searching. Thanks again.
