If it's a GLT, chances are it's a low pressure.

GLT = LOW PRESSURE TURBO (LPT), if you have a black pipe going over your engine to the back of it, you have the turbo model.

T5 = HIGH PRESSURE TURBO (HPT)

and for the very rare never introduced to the US scene S70R = HIGH PRESSURE TURBO

You know you could do some modifications to yours to gain more power. Since your already turboed your starting with a good platform, unlike the non turbo guys and gals out there.

1. Do a complete STAGE ZERO. Meaning get your car up to fresh from the factory standard. Which should include some upgrade silicone turbo hoses (SAMCO or Stylin Motors Inc.) and silicone vacuum lines (Samco or Stylin Motors Inc.) and a boost gauge (Autometer, DEFI, Etc...). Pods can be bought from gaugepods.com, single and triple pods.

2. Exhaust system (3" mandrel bent downpipe to a hi-flow cat to a 2.5"-3" mandrel bent catback system with a free flowing muffler such a Magnalow or BORLA.)

3. K&N panel filter or IPD USA or EuroSportTuning (EST) short ram intake and or go custom.

4. ECU upgrade, IPD USA, RICA or BSR PPC

- Viva Performance sells the RICA
- EuroSportTuning (EST) sells the BSR PPC
- IPD USA sells the IPD ECU upgrade

With these minor upgrades you should see some nice gains. Do the ECU last as it can take into account all the previous upgrades you have done. And you will gain the most performance from all parts by doing this.

if you do the exhaust and downpipe and then upgrade the ecu you could get about 250 hp out of it, and it's all on the low end too.

question: are the HPT and the LPT the same turbo, having different ECU settings? or are they a different turbocharger all together?

Depends if you buy prefabbed stuff or go custom. Custom can cost less, yes it can.
