Good evening everyone,

Couldn't find my solution on previous posts, so I thought I'd ask. A very nice person has attempted to dislodge my driver door mirror glass and has snapped the connections from the motor. Would a year 2000 motor be compatible with my 2001 car and would a nearside mirror motor fit an offside mirror?
I look forward to your assistance

Hi Tim, welcome to the forum.

I would stick with a 2001 window motor. No need to risk installing the wrong part. Not sure what you mean by far side or near side, but the mirror is an assembly, I'd replace the entire thing.
